Why us

Why nobody puts this one in a drawer

It does not go in a drawer

A candle gets burned. A gift card gets lost. Six ounces of solid silver sits on a shelf and stays there. That is the whole idea behind an anti-boring gift.

We pour it, so we can answer for it

We are a working precious-metal facility, not a reseller. We refine our own recycled silver to .999 and hand-pour it in our South Florida workshop. Ask a hard question and you get a silversmith, not a script.

Custom pieces are cast once and retired

A custom commission is a genuine one-of-one. We build the design from your photos, cast it, and then the design is retired forever. Nobody else gets that piece. Catalogue pieces are not one-of-one — we say so plainly.

Stated weight, delivered

Order six ounces and six ounces lands on your scale. Every piece is X-ray tested, stamped with weight and purity, serial numbered, and shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity.

By reason

Or start from the occasion

Every occasion page carries the honest order-by date and the specific reason that occasion is hard to shop for. Production is 4–8 weeks. Read the dates before you fall in love with anything.

How it is made

Eight stages, every piece, every time

Stage 2

Design

Your piece starts as a digital sculpt. On a commission, nothing moves until you approve it in writing.

Stage 3

3D print

The approved design is printed at high resolution as the master pattern. Hours per piece, and it is what saves the fine detail.

Stage 4

Casting

A mould goes around the master and molten silver is hand-poured in. The longest stage, and the one nobody can hurry.

Stage 5

Refinishing

An artisan cuts the casting free, grinds the channels away and brings every surface back up by hand.

Stage 6

Stamping

Weight and purity stamped into the metal, X-ray tested, serial numbered, Certificate of Authenticity attached.

Stage 7

Shipping

Packed in its presentation box and shipped fully insured, with tracking sent the moment the label exists.

That is why it takes 4–8 weeks, and why we would not speed it up even if we could. When a surge of orders comes in the queue gets longer, because the number of hands stays the same. We would rather tell you that plainly than promise a date we cannot keep.

Compare

What you are probably buying instead

Each of these names at least one thing the alternative genuinely wins on. Several of them end with us telling you to buy the other thing.

Solid Silver vs. Resin Collectible Statues

This is the real fight. At $199 to $900 the obvious alternative is a large, well-painted resin statue from a collectibles brand — and for some buyers that is genuinely the better object.

Solid Silver vs. An Engraved Plaque Or Trophy

For retirements, coaches and long service, the plaque is the default. It is fast, cheap, and it says exactly the right words. It also has a well-documented tendency to end up in a garage.

Explore →

A Silver Statue vs. A Silver Bar Or Coin

Same metal, same .999 grade, and a bar is meaningfully cheaper per ounce. If you are buying metal, buy the bar. If you are buying a gift, this comparison is worth two minutes.

Explore →

A Commissioned Statue vs. A Personalised Photo Gift

You have the photograph. The whole personalised gifting industry exists to put it on something. The question is what that something is, and how long it survives.

Explore →

A Silver Statue vs. A Gift Card Or Cash

Economists are broadly right that cash is the most efficient gift, and we are not going to argue with the maths. We are going to argue about what a gift is for.

.999 Fine Silver vs. Sterling And Silver-Plated Gifts

Three things get called silver in a gift shop and only one of them is what most people assume. Here is the difference in plain numbers, without the sales pitch.

Commissioning From Us vs. An Etsy Or Marketplace Seller

There are excellent independent silversmiths on marketplaces and we are not going to insult them. There are also resellers dropshipping castings they have never touched, and telling the two apart before you pay is the actual problem.

Buying A Statue vs. Buying Nothing At All

The real competition is not another product. It is the tab you close, the eight weeks you do not have, and the entirely reasonable decision to just send a very nice message instead.

FAQ

The questions everybody asks

What does "anti-boring" actually mean?
It means the gift does not end up in a drawer. Candles get burned, gift cards get lost, gadgets get replaced. Six ounces of solid silver goes on a shelf and stays there for the rest of the recipient’s life, and then somebody inherits it.
Is the silver solid, or plated?
Solid, all the way through. Every statue we pour is .999 fine silver — 99.9% pure, the same grade as a government-minted bullion coin. Order six ounces and six ounces lands on your scale. We do not plate anything and we do not offer a lower grade.
How long does it take?
4–8 weeks. Nothing sits in a warehouse — your piece does not exist until you order it, then it is hand-poured through eight stages in the order it was received. You get an email at every stage and a live status bar in your account.
What makes a custom piece "1-of-1"?
We build the sculpt from your photographs, cast it once, and then retire the design permanently. It is never poured again for anyone. That promise applies to custom commissions only — catalogue pieces are made to order repeatedly and we will always say so.
Are these officially licensed characters?
No. Every piece is original, independently created artwork — our own interpretation of mythology, history and pop culture. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any studio, publisher or trademark owner, and we sell strictly as collectible art.
Is a silver statue an investment?
No, and we will not imply that it is. These are collectibles that happen to be made of precious metal. We do not quote spot prices on this site, we do not publish payout percentages, and nothing here is investment advice.

Important information

Metal & Purity Guarantee — .999 Fine Silver

  • Every statue is hand-poured in the USA from recycled precious metal, refined to .999 before it is cast.
  • The stated weight is the delivered weight of the piece.
  • Purity is .999 fine silver, verified by X-ray testing before shipment.
  • There is one grade — .999 — on every statue, in every size. Sterling (.925) is no longer offered.

Sizing

Every statue is priced and sized by its silver weight — the heavier the piece, the larger and more substantial it is in the hand. Because each figure has its own silhouette and pose, exact dimensions vary by design. Quoted heights are approximate: a tall standing figure and a compact seated one can weigh the same.

Handmade Variation

As with all handmade and small-batch production, natural variation is inherent and unavoidable — it is a defining attribute of artisanal craftsmanship rather than a defect. Because of metal casting, material flow, finishing tolerances and the complexity of sculpted forms, the final piece may vary from the imagery shown. Images are visual references and are not guaranteed representations. Minor variance in surface and finish is expected and acceptable. Customers seeking absolute uniformity, mass-production tolerances, or exact replication of a digital rendering should not order.
